According to reports, some criminals stole and destroyed voting supplies for the House of Assembly election in Bayelsa State’s Ogbia Local Government Area’s Wards 2, 3, 4, and 5.
Governor Douye Diri, according to his chief press secretary Mr. Daniel Alabrah, has vehemently denounced the crime.
The governor pleaded with the Bayelsa state’s Inspector General of Police and Commissioner of Police to put an end to the unrest.
At polling places 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, and 19 in the Yenagoa LGA of Bayelsa State’s Atissa Constituency, accreditation, and voting had not yet begun as of 9 a.m.
Around 8:45 am, according to our journalist, INEC representatives, and voting supplies were still inside the Atissa RAC.
Voting supplies were being loaded into buses and other vehicles as they prepared to go for polling places nearby.
