Lagos passengers were stranded, yesterday, on Ikorodu road, as two containers fell off the back of a trailer on the Mile 12 bridge, outbound Ikorodu.

The situation resulted in gridlock, as commuters resorted to trekking due to the traffic on the bridge, which extended to as far as the Majidun area of the road.

Reporting the incident on its Twitter handle, LASTMA wrote: “Two containers fell off the back of a trailer on the Mile 12 bridge inward Kosofe, paralyzing traffic movement on the bridge.

Lagos State Traffic Management Agency (LASTMA), said the containers were cleared off the road at 9:00 a.m., while normalcy was restored.
