A stage collapsed during the swearing-in ceremony of Kano State Governor-elect Yusuf Abba. This was the satge housing the new governor of Kano State and his deputy.

The next Kano State governor’s swearing-in event encountered a little setback on Monday, May 29, 2023.

The new governor, Yusuf Abba, his deputy, and the acting chief judge were all on stage when the edifice collapsed.

According to reports, all those affected by the stage collapse are in good health.

The NNPP candidate won the 2023 election with 1,019,602 votes, defeating his closest challenger, Nasiru Gawuna of the All Progressives Congress, who received 890,705 votes.
