The governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, has given Miss Nkechinyere Umeh a scholarship after she won the prize for highest performance in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations.
The gesture, according to Soludo, came after JAMB recently named Umeh from Anambra State as the top examinee with a cumulative score of 360.
The governor commended the outstanding student for her outstanding performance and for making the state proud.

The governor of Anambra State, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, congratulated the remarkable student on representing the state so admirably with her outstanding performance, according to the statement that said: “Following the recent JAMB declaration of Miss Nkechinyere Umeh from Anambra State as the highest scorer with a cumulative mark of 360 in the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examinations.
“To further honor Umeh’s accomplishment, Soludo announced a meritorious scholarship for her to enroll in any course at the Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University in the state of Anambra.
The scholarship “will give her the chance to pursue her dreams and contribute to the development of the state in the future, in addition to serving as a token of the state government’s appreciation for her hard work.”
Soludo urged other young ndi Anambra students in the state and throughout the nation while wishing Umeh great success in her future academic endeavors.
He exhorted them to draw motivation from Umeh’s exceptional performance and use the state’s more conducive learning environment to pursue success.
