The Lagos State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of seven suspects in connection with the killing of one Toyin Adeniji, who was said to be one of the aides of a chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party in the state, Dapo Sarumi.
According to reports, Adeniji was standing in front of his house on Oyewole Road in the Agege area of the state when suspected cultists stormed in and shot him dead.
While some claimed that Adeniji was killed by suspected cultists, others stated that the victim was killed during a fracas involving transport workers in the area.
The investigation has been turned over to the State Criminal Investigations Department, and seven suspects have been apprehended and are being held at the SCID.
