The next governorship race in Lagos State, the Labour Party in the state claims it is not exploring a political coalition with the Peoples Democratic Party.

In an exclusive interview on Tuesday, the party made this known through its spokesperson, Olubunmi Odesanya.

Pa Ayo Adebanjo, the leader of Afenifere and a prominent supporter of the Labour Party in the state, had earlier told our correspondent that the party will weigh its options in order to unseat the All Progressive Congress, which is now in power, in the state’s March 11 governorship elections.

He stated, “We shall study all the possibilities before us”.

Odesanya, however, stated that the Labour Party would not be open to working with the PDP during the elections.” the Labour Party is not considering a partnership with the PDP”.
