The 12-year-old Whitney Omodesola Adeniran was a pupil at Chrisland School when she passed away on February 9, 2023. Yesterday, the Lagos State government ordered a coroner’s inquest to determine the cause of death.

In a statement, Mr. Moyosore Onigbanjo (SAN), the State’s Attorney General and Commissioner for Justice, ordered that a comprehensive inquiry be conducted to determine the cause of death.

“The findings of this investigation will be made public in due course and appropriate punishments will be meted out to anyone found accountable,” the commissioner stated.

The state had previously commanded the temporary closure of the Opebi-Ikeja school.
