Fire destroys the Lagos spare parts business,a corps discovered

A strange roaring fire burned the Akere Spare Parts Market, Kirikiri Road, Akere Bus Stop, Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle, Lagos, in the early hours of Wednesday, destroying properties worth millions of naira. Witnesses report that the event happened at about 3.15 am.

Firefighters quickly controlled the range fire and stopped it from expanding out of control, according to Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service Director Margaret Adeseye.

The Ajegunle Fire Station of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service was the first respondent to the fire that was reported at the Akere Spare Parts Market, Kirikiri Road, Akere Bus Stop, Olodi-Apapa, Ajegunle, Lagos, at approximately 3:28 a.m. on Wednesday.

“Upon arrival, it was found that rows of stores selling auto parts were on fire, prompting the Sari-Iganmu and Ilupeju Fire Crews of the Agency to team up to put out the flames and save a nearby major market Petroleum Filling Station, which contained, among other things, a fully loaded 33,000 liter PMS tanker.

“However, a male adult was recovered by the Tolu Police Division around the scene and reported death from a gunshot injury as he did not suffer any traces of burnt while the Lagos Neighborhood and Safety Corps and the Red Cross were also in attendance.

“The cause of the fire is suspicious and will require details investigation to be ascertained as well as post-incident enumeration to account for the number of lockup shops and wares lost.”
