In connection with an alleged N2 billion duty tour allowance fraud, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission detained four senior members of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority.

Our correspondent was informed by trustworthy sources inside the commission that the officials were detained between Thursday and Monday.

Directors of Finance and Accounts for the NCAA, Bilkisu Sani, Hart Fimienye, Obene Turniel, and Nathaniel Kaainjo, as well as Deputy General Managers for the Treasury and Management Accounts, were all detained.

According to information, Kaainjo was arrested by the EFCC on Monday while other people were brought into jail last Thursday.

The NCAA officials are accused of paying themselves and others almost N2 billion in duty tour allowance.

According to a source, “Mr. Kaainjo was taken into our custody on Thursday, March 16, 2023, and others were detained on Monday, March 20, 2023. They are currently being questioned by a team of agents at the anti-graft agency’s headquarters in Abuja.”
