The Independent National Electoral Commission has halted the counting of votes for the presidential elections in the Federal Constituencies of Nkwerre, Nwangele, Njaba, and Isu Imo state.

This suspension came after the Njaba Local Government Area Election results and the results sheets vanished.

According to INEC, Ugonna Ozurigbo a candidate for the People Democratic Party, received 16,846 votes, while Harrison Nwadike a candidate for the All Progressives Congress, received 6,784 votes, the Labour  Party candidate finished in third place, with 6,609 votes

Roseline Ogechukwu, the returning officer for the election, declared the election suspended because she was unable to return any candidate because the results from the four LGAs had not yet been fully tallied.

In the three LGAs that have been tallied so far for the constituency election, PDP won.
