NPF admonish Obi,Atiku........

The Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party, All Progressives Congress, and New Nigeria Peoples Party presidential candidates have been urged by the Nigeria Police Force to warn their supporters against instigating acts.

The Independent National Electoral Commission is working more quickly to compile the results, therefore the NPF also issued a call for calm.

CSP Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the force’s public relations officer, announced this in a news release on Monday.

The statement reads, “In furtherance of the close monitoring of the ongoing 2023 electoral exercise, and consequent upon a series of intelligence reports, and high expectations from all angles, the Nigeria Police Force has deemed it necessary to charge Presidential Candidates of all political parties, most especially APC, PDP, LP, and NNPP, to caution their party stalwarts and supporters to avoid making inciting remarks capable of unnecessarily igniting the polity and to urge them to refrain from.

“The NPF charges all presidential candidates, as leading and respected figures in their respective political parties, to seize the opportunity of this waiting period to emphasize the rule of law, respect for the Constitution, and constituted authority among their supporters, as we all owe a duty to ensure that the nation does,” the organization states after analyzing the trend of increased expectations and psychological projections on the ongoing electoral process in relation to the collation of results.

The Force also emphasizes the need to stop putting excessive pressure on the election process. With regard to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the organization tasked by the constitution with conducting elections and reporting results, all hands are on deck to quickly complete the results collation and announce the victor.
